If you would like to get involved in the fight against the proliferation of chemical weapons, this page will serve as an access point for you. It will be updated with any current information that will help you become involved. And of course you can always come volunteer with us at the Kentucky Environmental Foundation by clicking here.
Currently, the comment period on the Environmental Assessment (EA) and Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) regarding the possible use of Explosive Destruction Technology (EDT) as a supplemental disposal process to the Blue Grass Chemical Agent-Destruction Pilot Plant (BGCAPP) for the Mustard (H) munitions is under way.
A public meeting to receive formal comments will be held on 16 July beginning at 6:00 p.m. at the Perkins Building on the campus of Eastern Kentucky University (EKU). The full press release with more information regarding comments and specifics associated with the EA/FONSI can be found here.
